CAM architect began with architect C. Allen Mullins who graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1966 after studying under Fay Jones, FAIA. Prior to graduation Allen completed a one-year internship at the office of famed architect Edward Durell Stone in California.
After graduation Allen relocated to Boston where he worked for the Boston Redevelopment Authority under Edward J. Logue until being hired to work at The Architects Collaborative, TAC, where he was further influenced by Walter Gropius, FAIA.
Allen moved to New York City to complete graduate studies at Pratt Institute. After graduation, Allen entered the firm of Edward Larrabee Barnes, FAIA as a project architect where he completed his licensure requirements for the NCARB in 1971.
Allen Mullins relocated to open a firm in Colorado. Upon returning to New York City the firm opened as C. Allen Mullins architect where Allen worked on a variety of projects including renovation and restoration to his own buildings which earned him a recognition award for a sensitive restoration in Greenwich Village.
After several successful years in Manhattan the firm moved to Northeastern Pennsylvania where work continues on a variety of commercial, institutional, and residential award winning projects.

C. Allen Mullins architect, a.k.a. CAM architect, currently operates from a restored turn of the century building in north Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Allen Mullins continues his commitment to community by becoming deeply involved in his adopted community of Bear Creek Village where he served as chair of the planning commission and was a founding member of the historic society. He also offers his time to teaching and serving as critic in the architecture program at the local community college.
Inspired and brilliant, Richard T. Malcolm, Associate AIA began in the company in 2000 as a student. A graduate of Luzerne County Community College as-well-as Temple University, he is poised to receive architectural licensure. Mr. Malcolm has introduced a vibrant energy into the company, which marks a challenging future for the firm.
Other contributing members of the team include area colleague Professor Brian K. Overman, Associate AIA who since 1992 has participated in many of the projects at the firm. A graduate of Temple University he continues studies in historic preservation through the Savannah College of Art and Design while acting as Coordinator for Architecture, Interior Design, and Kitchen and Bath Design at Luzerne County Community College.
