Rick Malcolm
Rick Malcolm is fascinated with transformation in architecture and how kinetic elements used in architecture create a unique connection between the user and their environment. Malcolm pays meticulous attention to construction details and materiality within his work while trying to create architecture that is both aesthetically and experientially influenced by his architectural theories and educational practices.
Prior to Architecture he was greatly involved in the construction field which has sparked a lot of his interests in detail and the act of creating. The six years of construction experience that he gained has provided him with invaluable experience which adds to his role here at C. Allen Mullins architect where he has been since 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from Temple University in 2005 graduating Magna Cum Laude and ranking in the top 10% of his class. Now he also teaches Architectural Design as an Adjunct Professor at Luzerne County Community College.
