C. Allen Mullins

Founder and proprietor of the firm, C. Allen Mullins’ diverse experience provides a great benefit to the office and has had a great influence on his approach to design. Having studied under Fay Jones and Sybil Moholy Nagy and practiced architecture in several firms including some of the greats such as Edward Durell Stone, Edward Larrabee Barnes and Walter Gropius at TAC, The Architects Collaborative, Allen brings the influence of these 20th Century greats to the table combined with his own philosophies and professional development further influencing the other team members at the firm.

Mr. Mullins earned a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Arkansas. Continuing his education, he earned a Masters of Architecture Degree from Pratt Institute. Beginning in Denver, Colorado after professional licensure the office moved to Manhattan, for the better part of two decades. In 1990 the firm moved to its current location in Northeast Pennsylvania, where commissions include various new construction, restorations and remodeling projects.

Community service for Mr. Mullins includes architectural education where he has served as a visiting lecturer at Pratt Institute, making presentations about historic preservation, and for several years, as an adjunct instructor in the Architectural Engineering Technology program at Luzerne County Community College.

Mr. Mullins is very active in his home and professional community as well. He is the co-founder and past president of the Bear Creek Historical Society and has served as a long-time member and chairman of the Bear Creek Planning Commission. Also as an active member of the American Institute of Architects, Allen Mullins has served as president, secretary and vice-president of the Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter.
