Brian K. Overman


Brian’s design focus is on context and the careful manipulation of scale, materials, and forms to create desirable accommodation of human activities. In other words, his focus is on creating environments that people want to be in. Having traveled extensively and observed the characteristics that make up successful environments he has developed a palette of elements, material, and texture to employ in design.

Brian joined the firm as an Associate Architect in 1992. He assists in all areas of the firm’s projects including design and programming, and marketing. In addition to his work at C. Allen Mullins Architect he is also an Associate Professor of Architecture and Coordinator of Architectural Engineering Technology, Interior Design, and Kitchen and Bath Design at Luzerne County Community College. At the college he has served as a consultant for programming and design of campus expansion projects. He was also awarded the Allen Allen Faculty Excellence award for his outstanding academic work within the architectural field. His education began at Luzerne County Community College with an Associate degree in Architectural Engineering Technology. Later he received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Temple University and continues graduate studies in Historic Preservation through Savannah College of Art and Design.
