A CUP OF HEAVEN

The design challenge for a business on a small commercial lot competing for attention among the visual clutter of a busy and crowded street was met with a bit of whimsy. In order to make a drive through coffee shop visible to passing traffic the building was designed to resemble a giant coffee mug. The “mug” is both advertising for the business and the coffee shop itself. The solution to the round structure is the use of innovative insulated concrete forms (ICF), which will provide great strength and energy to the business. The coffee shop includes two drive-thru windows, prep and storage areas, and an employee restroom. Strictly designed for automotive cliental, A Cup of Heaven specializes in specialty coffees, frozen drinks and baked goods. The café’ will serve the community. The location for A cup of Heaven is on the corner of Spring Street (State Route 309) and Schoolhouse Lane, near the intersection of Mundy Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. A Cup of Heaven will offer the following high quality products to the Wilkes-Barre area: Espresso, Cappuccino, mochas and lattes, blended or hot Fresh roasted coffee beans, ground or whole Frozen real fruit smoothies Regular or decaffeinated coffee, homemade hot chocolate Brewed iced or hot tea, milk and bottled water. Baked goods include: canolli, cakes, bagels, muffins, cookies, and other delicacies.
