MIDDLESEX CHAMBERS HALL ENTRANCE
												Middlesex County College
												Edison, NJ
												2006

												UNBUILT
A request was made for proposals to provide greater visibility and identity to an entrance into an existing academic building. The conceptual proposal created a geometric projection from the building that would announce the entrance to passersby as well as create a vestibule which would increase the energy efficiency of the building. The solid masonry elements juxtaposed to a glass enclosure provided an iconic element which further allowed the addition of signage elements. The glass enclosure acted as a welcoming beacon when lit in the evening and a daylight-filled entry during the day.
