Growth necessitated a larger office for the firm of C. Allen Mullins Architect resulting in the purchase of a turn of the century building in an established North Wilkes-Barre neighborhood. The transitional Queen Anne style brick residence was upgraded to accommodate office functions of the firm while preserving the historical details of the brick building. The façade and porch were restored, maintaining the original elements and materials of the building and incorporating sensitive upgrades to the porch and exterior lighting. Inside, central air conditioning was added and the two bathrooms were modernized with new fixtures and custom tile work. The original yellow pine floors were sanded and refinished while unpainted pine woodwork was repaired and replicated as needed.
